Last night brought a lot of rain and it came all at once. As soon as it was over, the clouds were amazing, like nothing I'd ever seen before. These big, round shapes looked like something in a sci-fi movie, who knew they could happen right above your own yard! Apparently this kind of cloud formation is rare, is caused by descending cold air and each of those "bubbles" is about 1 km across.
And the skies just kept getting more varied!
