Coming up roses
This is the weekend for Bazaart, here in Regina. Craftspeople from around the province will be presenting their wares in the parking lot of the MacKenzie Art Gallery for all to see, admire and buy. It's a great opportunity to get to know the creative minds of Saskatchewan!
And, at home, I'm absolutely delighted that I have roses in bloom! The front yard is looking like we are people who care about our property which is downright exciting to me. It's interesting how people walking by will comment on how nice it's all looking and will stop to chat.

What really intrigues me about all of the work we've been doing on the house, is how it impacts more than just us. Our neighbours have commented how pleased they are with what we're doing, people walking their dogs have said they're enjoying watching the transformation, people walking their children to school comment on how fun it is to anticipate what the next change will be, children walking by stop and look.
It's a powerful reminder to me that none of us are an island. We are a part of the whole and everything we do affects those around us. Walking around with a frown on your face just makes others feel as miserable as you look. Being cranky to the cashier at the store makes everyone feel a little smaller. So, I have put a smie on my face and am anxiously anticipating what the next lovely step will be in our yard transformation and in my studio.
