Accentuate the positive
When our children were little, a favourite movie was the Disney version of "The Jungle Book." The song that Balloo the bear sang about accentuating the positive was going through my head this morning as I putzed about in the garden. Please note that I'm talking about the garden not some reasonable (or unreasonable) facsimile.
There are some aspects to our back yard which are lovely and today, I am choosing to focus in on them. And on things inside the house that are lovely, as well.

For instance, the crabapple tree really is about to become a bridal bouquet for an angel. It has so many blooms on it which are just starting to show themselves. And the lily of the valley is about to bloom which will fill the air with a gorgeous fragrance.
The sun is glorious today, there is a wind but that keeps the sun from being overpowering.
Inside, I was looking at the blocks for my bed quilt thinking that I'm close to done the top. Alright, so I've been close for weeks, but today, I'm thinking that it's just a mere sabbatical until I can get back to it. No pressure. The bracelets that I'm making for the MacKenzie gift shop are coming along nicely. I can only work on them 45 minutes at a time, but I'm finding that at the end of the 45 minutes, I'm not feeling stabbing pain any longer, just some fatigue. So, things are improving.
Now, isn't that better than a solid whine?
